After graduating high school in Baton Rouge, Owen McCall attended Tulane University to receive degrees in Psychology and English. While attending Tulane, Owen worked as a preschool teacher, where dealing with arguments over ducks and blocks taught him excellent conflict management skills. After witnessing legal attacks on the LGBTQ+ community, he changed his career path in order to use his skills to help his community. Owen is an Ignatian Scholar at Loyola New Orleans College of Law. He plans to focus on public interest law while at Loyola, and hopes to dedicate his career to addressing issues of systemic inequality in the law, especially as it pertains to queer and transgender Americans.
